El Escorial

Our Visit to El Escorial By Elias This weekend we went to visit El Escorial. We slept in a hotel. First we visited the palace built by King Philip II in the 1500s. It was huge! Trenches of the Spanish civil war

Image
The other day, we went to some trenches from the Spanish civil war. When we got there we had to follow a short path to the firing positions. Then we entered an under ground tunnel. There was also a paper that said "do not enter, risk of collapse" but we felt safe and went in. After we got in, it was dark yet cool. At the the start it was steep but then it leveled and got a little bit narrow, the tunnel went about 50 yards and it exited to another trench. we liked it so much that we did it again.
